This Privacy Policy describes how Kapturas ("Kapturas," "we," "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our website, our services, and our SMS messaging program.
1. Information we collect
- Account information: name, business name, email address, and phone number provided when a contractor creates a Kapturas account or contacts us.
- Job documentation content: voice notes, text messages, photos, and related job details that contractors submit to the service in order to create change orders or damage documentation.
- End-client contact information: the name and phone number or email of a contractor's client, provided by the contractor for the sole purpose of sending job-related notifications (such as a change order approval request).
- Technical information: standard log data such as IP address, browser type, and timestamps, used to operate and secure the service.
2. How we use information
- To provide the service: transcribing and structuring job notes, generating change orders and documentation reports, and delivering notifications by SMS or email.
- To send transactional SMS messages related to active jobs, such as change order confirmations, approval requests, and status updates.
- To provide customer support and improve the reliability of the service.
- To comply with legal obligations.
3. SMS privacy
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties, excluding aggregators and providers of the text message services necessary to deliver messages. All other categories of information described in this policy exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; that information will not be shared with any third parties.
4. Information sharing
We do not sell personal information. We share information only with service providers that are necessary to operate Kapturas (such as cloud hosting, transcription, and message delivery providers), each bound to use the information solely to provide their service to us; or when required by law.
5. Data retention and security
Information is retained for as long as needed to provide the service and meet legal requirements, then deleted or anonymized. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Credentials and access are restricted to authorized personnel.
6. Your choices
- You can opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message.
- You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by emailing support@kapturas.com.
7. Children
Kapturas is a business tool and is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from minors.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version will always be available at this page with its effective date.
